John M. Huddle, Esq., CEO and founder of The Global Law Group, PLC presented this topic at the Export University program conducted in Fairfax, Virginia on March 21, 2023 by the U.S. District Export Council (“DEC”) for the Virginia-Washington D.C. Region. DEC members are appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce based on their recognized expertise in exporting to serve as a resource for U.S. exporters and the U.S. Commercial Service. Mr. Huddle is a former Chair of the Virginia-Washington D.C. DEC and has been reappointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce for successive 3-year terms since his original appointment by the Secretary in 2003.

John Huddle Term Renewed on Board of Governors, Virginia State Bar International Practice Section

At the annual meeting of the Virginia State Bar in June, 2021, John M. Huddle, Esq., CEO and founder of The Global Law Group, PLC, was re-appointed by the members of the Section to a three-year term on its Board of Governors. Mr. Huddle was Chair of the Section from 2008-2013, and he has also held terms as Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Mr. Huddle has served on the Board of Governors of the Section since 1994.

Northern Virginia Office Opened (August, 2020)

The Global Law Group, PLC is pleased to announce that its offices have moved to Northern Virginia in close proximity to Washington, D.C. During the continuation of health concerns due to the COVID pandemic, Mr. Huddle will be serving clients remotely from his scenic home office in Loudoun County, Virginia with convenient access to Dulles International Airport, the Metro Silver Line, the MARC train system, and Reagan National Airport.

John Huddle Term Renewed on Board of Governors, Virginia State Bar Business Law Section

At the annual meeting of the Virginia State Bar, John M. Huddle, Esq., CEO and founder of The Global Law Group, PLC, was re-appointed by the members of the Section to a three-year term on its Board of Governors. Mr. Huddle was Chair of the Section from 2015-2018, and has served on its Board since 2013. The Business Law Section is one of the oldest and largest practice sections of the Virginia State Bar. Its constituents range from large multi-national law firm to small firm and solo practitioners, whose practice areas range from general business to niche specialists, many of whom are also members of other practice sections within the VSB focused specifically on their fields.

Annual Export Conference of the U.S. National District Export Council [Washington, D.C., May 22, 2019]

At the 2019 Annual Export Conference of the U.S. National District Export Council, John M. Huddle, Esq., CEO and founder of The Global Law Group, PLC presented legal issues and strategies for U.S. District Export Councils (“DECs”) to consider in structuring and operating local DECs. Mr. Huddle was appointed to the U.S. District Export Council of Washington, D.C.-Virginia by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in 2003, and was appointed by the Secretary of Commerce as its Chair from 2005-2009. He remains an active appointee to the DEC, having been re-appointed by the Secretary of Commerce for successive 3-terms through the present.
