September, 2002: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Global Law Group, PLC announces the opening of an office in the Corporate Research Park at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States of America. July, 2002: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: John M. Huddle, Managing Director of the Global Law Group, PLC, was elected Chair of the Virginia State Bar International Practice Section. Mr. Huddle has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Section since 1993. He has previously held the offices of Chair-Elect (2001-2002), Secretary (2000-2001), and Chair of Continuing Legal Education (1999-2000) for the International Practice Section.

May, 2002: John M. Huddle spoke on “Current International Legal Strategies for Success” at a 2-day seminar sponsored by the International Trade Association of Western Virginia. In addition to international legal issues, the attendees received instruction from experts in international banking, freight forwarding and logistics.

March, 2002: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: John M. Huddle, Managing Director of The Global Law Group, PLC announces that he and the firm have been selected by the International Division of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (“VEDP”) to provide legal services over the next two years to Virginia companies selected to participate in the VEDP “VALET Program”, a new export promotion program. Mr. Huddle stated that “The VEDP has a long history of success in promoting Virginia exports and has been a major reason that Virginia is one of the leading export markets in the country. The VALET Program is one of the most innovative and ambitious programs that I have seen in almost 20 years of practice, and I am very honored and pleased to have been selected as a legal resource for the VEDP and the VALET Program companies. March 2002: At seminars held in the Cities of Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia, John M. Huddle instructed Virginia exporters and banking and freight forwarding experts on a variety of legal issues affecting exporters in the current global market. Issues addressed included export licensing, export income tax incentives, and significant legal issues in transnational sales and distribution agreements.
